Centered around an impressive Marina surrounded by classy eateries and upmarket boutiques, Vilamoura is a great place to experience a top-class holiday. Hotels, villas and apartments are on offer for your accommodation, and golfers will find hotel complexes complete with world-renowned golf courses. Villas are ideal for those looking for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the resort, yet close enough to enjoy all that this fabulous place has to offer. By night the area around the Marina comes to life with live music and entertainment in the bars and restaurants. Beach lovers don’t miss out with the two main beaches; Praia da Marina and Praia da Falesia on either side of the marina.

Just over 20 miles from Faro airport brings you to the popular resort of Albufeira. Families and couples alike visit Albufeira for its fantastic beaches, good value accommodation and lively nightlife as well as delicious sea-food restaurants and exciting water sports. The atmospheric old town is full of tempting tavernas and shops whereas the recently developed area of Montechoro offers fantastic nightlife.

To the western end of the sunny Algarve lies the quieter town of Lagos, a true Portuguese jewel with its quaint cobbled streets steeped in history. Stroll along winding streets, passing charming cafes and white washed houses, wander around the old slave market and view the 17th Century fortress. It’s no wonder this place has captured the hearts of so many Brits. The beaches will not disappoint; discover hidden coves and paddle in safe, clear waters such as the cliff-backed Praia do Pinhao. The wonderful Festa do Banho 29 is an occasion held on August 29th where locals come down from the hills to celebrate the summer as they take to the warm waters; once seen as a purifying ritual. Everyone is welcome to join in with the feasting and partying on this fun-filled day.Algarve, Portugal

Whichever resort suits you best, you’re sure to find the perfect place on the stunning Algarve to holiday this year.
